Due to the starting scrap, i. e. when the production with a new colour starts it will have a large volume of starting scrap because some of the previously used colour remains in the mould and the machine. This mixes with the new colour until the last bit of the old colour has come out. That is when the so-called "marmor effect" is created (old/new colour).
